These puzzle maps allow a child’s first impression of the world to be one of mountains and deserts, forests and grassland, rather than abstract political boundaries. They are smaller (11x17) and easier to manage with larger pieces. They are color-coded according to the biomes so that white represents polar regions, orange the desert. A double-sided control map is included in full color and black outline with color key. These puzzles are a key classroom component that allows the sensorial experience to accompany a study of the continents by biomes.

The Latitude and Longitude Map is a wooden map divided into sections of latitude and longitude lines at 30º intervals. The back of each puzzle piece has a control with the range of latitude and longitude for that rectangle. The base has a grid to help place pieces back in the puzzle. Command cards are included on three levels. (8-15 years)
