Biomes of the World Cards provide a first lesson on the eight different biomes that are used throughout the biome materials. Each biome has an icon that is found on the back of cards and used to identify different sets or as a control of error.
The World According to Biomes is the introductory curriculum guide to the biome study that leads to an exploration of each continent by biomes. It begins with the concept of a biome by looking at its parts: the energy from the sun, the water, the soil, the air, the plants, and the animals. Each part of the biome is explored with nomenclature, hands-on activities, movement, drama, and art.
